When playing sniper, if you are quiet enough, i find it helpful to immediatly take the middle of the arena, its elevated and you have a clear view from many angles whilst at the same time alot of cover...

Top Tips for the middle on sniper

Remain quiet, creeping is essential on sniper

Use the triangle Holes to your advantage, just dont
rest your back against them as you will most likely be shot

Remain observant... The middle is easy to defend... your up high
meaning it is easier for you to shoot down at the shoulder sensors.
They attackers have to shoot upward, depending on your positioning
it could be very hard for them to hit you! Just check all 4 main attack points

Listen... because your in the middle people are bound to keep passing you... listen out for
their footsteps! in sniper loud feet are a big giveaway!!

Hope that helps !!!

Heres a couple of tips I always give before a sniper.

Never waste your shots. You have 150 (15 per minute) When you run out, your a sitting duck, so dont use them all in the 1st 5 mins and leave yourself in that situation.

Take 1 or 2 shots per person, sometimes it will hit them with a delay after your shot, so dont shoot a load of shots in a short space of time.

Make sure you use all your shots by the end of the game - or you've wasted potential points.

At the end of the game, shoot people without shots, they're far easier to hit when they're not shooting back.

Hope this helps too Smile

On sniper matches, if someone spots you when you're in cover, put your head in front of one of the gaps and get them to waste shots. For some reason, they seem to think there are sensors in your eyes and teeth ( just because they glow doesn't mean you can shoot them! Laughing ) Also, there are now 4 and 1 minute warnings where you can't be shot. If you're willing to get shot once, you can take shedloads of shots without any of them registering. I drained a certain someone of a ton of shots doing this. Of course, both of these only work if you're borderline insane, like me, and will more than likely get you shot a few times anyway.

When you're out of shots, your gun will make an annoying noise instead of a normal shot noise when you try and shoot. This is a giveaway to anyone else (and also provokes me to shout FUNNY NOISE! but that's not the point) and you're likely to have everyone and their grandma chasing you for a while, so make sure you keep an eye on your ammo. It'll show up when you have less than 50 shots left, I think.

Try and shoot one handed at close range. This gives you one hand to balance, and I'm personally more accurate when I'm shooting with one hand anyway, even at long range. I know Wolfie knows I take Sniper too literally in that sense.

And one REALLY important tip: Don't wear white. I don't think I need to explain this one.
