Sunday 1:30pm

Hey guys, im coming down with a few people on sunday at 1:30 for a number of reasons, mainly to have fun but at 2pm someone is coming down who i would like to beat very much... but that aside... confirmed coming i have azk1kr, random, tommygun, nebula 13, and Marc Shlong... uncomfirmed coming are kurt and just david who else would be interested in coming ??

This is on sunday 9th August and i was thinking perhaps my usual line up?:

BHYO?

Anyothers i may have missed out please come too it will be the last time i play here at laserquest for a very, very long time so i would want my last 3 games of 2009 to go out with a bang!!

Another name now to be mentioned is jack frost! he is one more unconfirmed player... its shaping up for a good day i think, just to give a few more details we are going to try and play 3 games obviously because its a sunday we cant do a day pass, so therefore 3 games will have to do, for the benifit for people who dont know who may read this, it is my last gaming session at laserquest for quite some time as in 4 days now i will be going for surgery on my knee therefore no laserquest, but have no fear i will be back asap!! and hopefully in the time im out ill be able to save up lots of moneys so i can play alot!! haha

To also fill in the blanks with my message previous, a guy called marc has been annoying some of us recently and he reakons that he could beat us anytime any place, well... i took that challenge and said well why dont you come to laserquest... then we will see who wins... anyways i am rambling abit now, slightly bored i guess nothing else to do other than write very long forum posts... i guess i could make some new videos but that does take a bit of effort and right now i guess im a bit tired, after all i have been playing xbox live all day... thats enough to make anyone tired. right now im on the laptop trying to find things to do whilst alex here plays halo campaign which to be honest completly bores me to death. anyway if i carry on anyone reading this will assume im insane and should be wheeled off to some random aslyum, possiblely filled with zombies... well we can hope at least

why are you not playing amy more?

i got a major operation in 3 days on my knee, so i wont b fit 2 play for a long time :'( :'( Anyway that aside today was amazing and thought i would post in the results, firstly i must say that everyone who played today were amazing, in the end we had AZK1KR, Tempest (formally known as razgriz), Random, Nebula 13, Jay Jay, BHYO and Just David. Marc didnt show up, surprise surprise... I only recorded the top 3 of each game so here it goes

In the first game was a team game, 3 teams of two consisting of the red team (Jay Jay and BHYO), the green team (Random and Just David) and in the mixed team (BadWolf and AZK1KR), Tempest and Nebula 13 did not participate in this match.

Jay Jay and BHYO I must say played amazingly, whilst everyone put up a good fight in this match there were no match for us, they used a good mix of techniques and teamwork, there were and unstoppable force, so it is no surprise that the red team won with 1236 points. Myself and AZK1KR managed to claim second as the mixed team with a total of 753 points. In third and unfortunatly last place was the green team, Random and Just David put up a good fight, Random took a strong positon where ever he was the only flaw that he made was not to move around enough, although keeping a position can be good in some cases it can be a bad move, unfortunatly in this case it was a bad move, as for Just David, he has really improved and is now taking every oppertunity he can!

In the second game we were all v all in a solo match, Joining us this time were nebula 13 and Tempest.

Once again Jay Jay and BHYO dominated, From what i could see of this match Just David played extreamly well, he managed to take over 100 points from me in the first 5 mintutes! For me it was not a very good match as I only managaed to scrape sixth place! In the top 3 this time round we see Jay Jay winning the game with 1206 points, and in second BHYO and in third AZK1KR, I didnt see him much this match however from what i heard he played amazingly!

The third game was and all v all frantic! The game started well with Jay Jay maintaining a strong lead and the game flowing well, however things to a dramatic and unexpected turn, whoever has played Tempest/Razgriz in the past will have known that you never see tempest at the same place for more than a second, thats because the moment he is spotted he runs away and near enough 30mph... We always told him that he shouldnt do it and one day he will either hurt someone or someone else... well today both happened.. whilst not looking and running he ran into the cross section whilst AZK1KR turned the corner making him headbutt alex in the ribs, i saw the whole thing happen, alex fell backward onto the floor squirming in pain, he was ok, at least he were awake, Tempest on the other hand, out cold on the arena floor, He KO'ed for about 45 seconds and then after a bit of shaking saying KEVIN WAKE UP, he awoke, just, after i helped the two up Tempest sat the rest of the match out, after going to check on him about 2 minutes later once he got his head together, he started complaining of vision problems, i advised him to go to hospital but he wouldnt have it... after a bout 10 minutes his vision came back and for 5 hours+ he had a killer headache! I think the lesson here for all is DONT RUN AROUND THE ARENA, ACCIDENTS HAPPEN, TEMPEST WAS LUCKY, VERY LUCKY, IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE!!!!!!

Anyway on a better note, the results of this match are as follows, once again in first we have..... Jay Jay, in second and quite proud of actually beating BHYO (trust me, stroke of luck, will probabaly never happen again!) was me, BadWolf and in third BHYO


I must say i had an amazing time so once again thank you to everyone who turned up!!

I enjoyed it too. The only thing I would say is you lot could benefit from having a few games with proper marshalls, as you're all doing stuff you shouldnt, most of it stuff you've started doing and not been told its not allowed. I'll list a few things and the reasons why you cant do them and hopefully you can fix your techniques before you get too stuck in your ways. I'm having to change my style completly because the way I play is slightly dodgy for tournaments as it is.

Running - As mentioned, running full speed around an arena is silly. All it takes is someone to stick a gun around a corner and you're face first into that and thats possibly a cracked skull at worst and at best a broken gun.

Dropping to the floor into a crouch then back up again - Since you're not meant to be crawling around anyway that should be obvious, but again if you're playing with someone up close and they drop the gun to shoot you from below when you fall down and their gun smacks you in the chin. Or coming back up it cracks you in the top of the head. Not nice, and with the speed some people move the guns about, Dave and Jamie especially its very possible. Same goes for sitting on the floor in a corner, I nearly tripped over someone in the 2nd game.

Holding the gun up in the air with 2 hands constantly - This is a big no no as its blocking your shoulder sensors. Holding the gun up with your rear facing arm is perfectly fine, as is moving the gun up and down at a constant pace. But holding it up there all the time is not allowed.

Covering the gun speaker - I noticed one person, Tempest I think running around with his hand over the speaker. While this isnt wrong in itself, the way he was covering it put his arm accross his chest sensors and was pretty effectively blocking them. Theres no need to constantly cover the speaker, especially with the music on as loud as it is so it was a bit odd to see and just made me think he was doing it on purpose.

Now dont take this the wrong way guys, you were brilliant fun to play, but I just thought I'd mention what I noticed in those 3 games. Its a shame you're off for surgery especially Bad Wolf. When I realised how much better you'd gotten I came after you in the 2nd game especially just because it was more fun to try and beat you in 1 on 1's. Hope you're back soon.
